Laura Bieniek joined Young & Associates in 2016.  Prior to joining the firm, Laura worked as an associate attorney at Sedgwick LLP in San Francisco. 

During her time at Sedgwick, Ms. Bieniek defended corporate clients in a variety of matters, including products liability, premises liability, and eminent domain. Ms. Bieniek has prepared both individual and mass catastrophic injury matters for trial, and was a member of the trial team for California’s largest public utility in a $1 billion complex tort litigation matter. Ms. Bieniek also has experience in employment law, particularly sexual harassment and discrimination cases.

At Young & Associates, Ms. Bieniek has represented both companies and individuals in complex commercial litigation, and has gained significant trial experience in both intellectual property and business litigation matters.  She has worked on two federal trials as well as a multi- million dollar arbitration.  Ms. Bieniek also has experience in appellate matters, and has drafted appellate briefs for both the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court.

Ms. Bieniek graduated cum laude from Colby College with a major in Economics, and received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.  She is a member of both the Michigan State Bar and the California Bar.
