J. David Garcia

PROFILE

David executes day-to-day responsibilities for numerous multi- million dollar cases, customarily taking high-level depositions and arguing case-critical dispositive motions. In the process, he also gained significant first and second chair trial experience, litigating in numerous state and federal courts and arbitration forums. David amassed advanced knowledge of sophisticated business and financial issues and learned to present these matters in a compelling jury narrative. He has successfully litigated cases involving contractual and partnership/shareholder disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets and other intellectual property claims, accounting malpractice, and other complex commercial disputes. In his appellate practice, David has argued before the Michigan Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

From 2018 to the present, David has been recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer in the field of business litigation, a designation awarded to only a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state. Prior to this, he was recognized in 2014 and 2015 as a Rising Star by the same publication. David graduated from the University of Michigan, with double-majors in economics and political science, and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Law.
